UPDATE: Beyonce's $100,000,000 TV Offer Bogus, Says Simon Cowell.

After reports claiming Grammy-winning singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter was offered $100 million to appear on music competition reality show "The X-Factor" emerged online, show creator Simon Cowell has stepped forward to kill the hype.

According to Cowell, the Beyonce reports are 100 percent false.

On who might be filling the vacated spots, Simon debunked the rumor Beyonce was under consideration. "No. I have no idea where this rumor came from. I read it online that I offered her $100 million a year. It's complete nonsense." Mariah Carey? "I would love her, but you can't expect someone who's just had two kids to make the kind of commitment you would need on this show." (Extra TV)

Details surrounding the alleged big bucks offer hit the Internet a few days ago.

Simon Cowell is offering Beyonce an annual salary of $100 million to be a full-time judge on The X-Factor, according to reports online. It would be the highest TV salary ever, and could be the perfect job for Beyonce, 30, who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy, her first child with husband Jay-Z, last month. The X-Factor gig could allow the Grammy winning singer to stay in the public eye during her baby's first years without having to tour. (Winnipeg Press)
