Alicia Keys Billed To Perform Special Grammy Awards Tribute

Award-winning singer Alicia Keys will grace the stage at this Sunday's Grammy Awards ceremony and pay homage to late music icon Etta James with a tribute performance.

While details are still emerging, Keys' tribute set is officially penned in.

Etta James recently passed away after her battle with leukaemia and, as is utterly appropriate, the Recording Academy have decided to pay their respects to the iconic R&B star with a tribute at the 2012 Grammy Awards. Alicia Keys has been confirmed as the live tribute act to Etta at this year's Grammy Awards. The 'New York' singer definitely has the powerful vocals necessary to hit Etta's highest notes, but we have yet to know which song she will tackle. Christina Aguilera already performed 'At Last' at James' funeral, whilst Kelly Clarkson is well known for blasting out 'I'd Rather Go Blind'; will Keys take on one of Etta's lesser known hits, or add her own spin to one of these two power ballads? Keys took to her Twitter page following the singer's unexpected death last month.

"Wow Etta James! :-( What a phenomenal woman and spectacular voice! http://huff.to/AAPrnY," she tweeted January 21st. (Alicia Keys' Twitter)
