We have a remix of the song Magic Anthem by Radio & Weasel featuring the Goodlyfe. We all know the original song is based on a typical Washington slow riddim. Well this new remix is based on a kind of zouk instrumental coupled with the usual dem bow beat. It has been done by a local dj called B2K. The truth is most so called "remixes" in Uganda are really just contrived renditions of the same song with the only difference being the very exaggerated dem bow beat. For those that may not know what dem bow is, its that beat that goes "kadu kadu". Actually some call it kadu kadu or reggaeton or kidandali. Its real name is dem bow. B2K is one of the guys famous for doing these remixes. Other dj's include Senior B, Bash DJ and Dj Shiru. These guys know how to make any song go like "kadu kadu". Any song!
But I have to give B2K credit sometimes he gets it right and actually makes the song better. Just sometimes. This is one of those times. He has made the track more danceable and more mainstream if you like. Expect to hear it at some parties real soon.
