Jose Chameleone aka Joseph Mayanja has today written a letter to the Moslem Community asking for forgiveness for failure to fulfill his ‘testimony of the faith’. In the letter he shows is current position and why he took this new position.

RE: APOLOGY.
I Joseph Chameleone Mayanja humbly writes this letter to thank you for everything you are doing for the Islamic community, Buganda and Uganda at large.
Sir,
Through you, I kindly apologise to the entire Muslim community for not fulfilling my testimony of faith. As I promised before you, my Muslim brothers and sisters. I, on my own, decided to join the Islamic faith hardly knowing of the fore coming hardships and unfair judgment I would face.
I would never be bothered by simple public opinion and judgment until my Clan, Family and Wife who have been very supportive in my life condemned me without mercy and out casted me.
Sir in all due respect for Islam,
I ask for mercy and forgiveness.
