Ndisa Buuti Video Dancers Were Not Paid.

It's nearly eight months now without any pay for the work done by the dancing team that was behind Bebe Cool's "Ndisa Buti" video shoot.

The dancers who featured in the "Ndisa Buti" video have not only been denied their dues, they have also suffered injuries and serious blows in the course of demanding for their payment.

One of the dancers, who preferred anonymity, disclosed this information during a call made to one of the BigEyeUG writer.

Talking on phone, one of the dancers explained her side of the story as her voice occasionally broke into painful emotions.

She explains, "After the video shoot of "Ndisa Buti," we didn't get our work pay, but he(Bebe Cool) promised to pay us within the agreed time. After sometime, we started calling his phone because we realized he was taking long to communicate. Every time we would call, he would tell us to remind him so that he can pay our dues."
She adds, "He then reached a stage of not picking our calls and bad enough, sometimes he would switch off his phone off completely."

Now here is the real story, "As we were coming from having fun late at night at around 3am(Friday nite), we decided to refuel our car at City Oil Petrol station on Kayunga Rd just after Kisementi. Luckily enough, as we parked, we saw Bebe Cool and his entourage coming from the supermarket and I decided to call him. When he looked back, he recognized us and came to our car as his mugged bouncers followed him." She adds "He started throwing punches to us as his bouncers looked on. For fear of being thumbed by his entourage, we drove off quickly as we headed straight to the police station. Bebe Cool and his crew followed us in their van. As we approached the police station, they turned and drove off different route."

Well, the above story was narrated by the hurt dancer who felt that the press should know it. Bebe Cool, the ball is in your hands to come up with your side of the story.(Bigeye.ug)

Seven percent of the university’s student body is comprised of international students.

METHODOLOGY

First, as with any similar list that determines which universities are ’best,’ Africa.com collected both quantitative and qualitative data to determine which universities in Africa would make the Top 10 List.

Second, we made a determination to create two distinct lists: a) Africa, excluding South Africa, and b) South Africa. If we were not to have made this distinction, our Top 10 List would be dominated by South African universities, and would not be useful to those seeking a pan-African perspective. At the same time, we wish to acknowledge the strength of South Africa’s many world-class universities, so we decided to dedicate a list that features just South African institutions.

Third, our criteria include the following: 1) undergraduate and graduate school reputation among higher education peers; 2) student selectivity for entering undergraduate class; 3) quality and quantity of faculty research, including depth of research facilities and engagement beyond immediate community, and 4) international student ratio’the degree to which institution draws students from outside of its national boundaries.

Fourth, in addition to collecting quantitative data on the criteria above, we used our extensive network on the continent for qualitative input as a ’reality check’ to the results that our data yielded. These ’reality checks’ resulted in some small, but important adjustments to the list.

We are very proud of our list of the best universities in Africa, and hope that it is a useful tool for those who seek a relative comparison of institutions of higher education on the continent.(Bigeye.ug)

Rick Ross Earns ‘Bawse Of The Year’ 2012 Award from GQ Magazine.

Rick Ross earned himself the ‘Bawse Of The Year’ award this year after having a monstrous 12 months in 2012.

Few rappers are experiencing success quite like MMG head honcho Rick Ross these days. Along with a few different solo mixtapes, Rick Ross also released his ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ album, the MMG compilation project ‘Self Made Vol.2,’ and recently helped Meek Mill get his studio debut album on retail shelves.

GQ Magazine recognizes the moves that Rozay is making, and during their ‘Men Of The Year’ issue the magazine pays homage to Ross naming his ‘Bawse Of The Year.’ Ross mentions that he has no intention of slowing down either.

“I’m the typa dude who feels like he could take number two next year… The moves I make, I ain’t never in no rush,” Rozay explained his plans to top The Source magazine’s Power list in the forthcoming year.

With Christmas right around the corner, the Maybach Music Group ring leader has some words for fans. “One, for Christmas go get yourself an MMG tattoo. Two, let’s all stop smoking blunts; let’s smoke out of papers.”

Rick Ross is currently working with Wale on his third solo album, which is set for a release sometime in February of next year. (theversed)

50 Cent Expresses Gratitude For Eminem, Says “Rap Beef Does Not Sell Records”

50 Cent sits down to discuss how Eminem birthed his career, and also explains that rap beef does not sell records.

After just teaming up with Shady Records head honcho Eminem for his ‘My Life’ single, it’s only fitting that Fif explain Em’s influence on his career during his recent visit to the Carson Daly show.

“My career wouldn’t even exist, I wouldn’t even be talking to you if it wasn’t for Em,” 50 Cent explained. “It’s amazing that later in your life you could find someone that means so much to the comfort in your actual life. My grandparents were that for me before Em.”

Fif also goes on to explain that his G-Unit entourage wanted to be as big as him, and wanted to get 50 Cent out of the picture so they can grow bigger individually.

“You can offer an artist an opportunity to have the audience that’s interested in you become interested in them. You can let them perform on your stage and work in your music videos and everything but if they want what you have and they can’t quite do that, they gotta establish that on their own,” he shared. “The artists got uncomfortable and felt they wouldn’t be as big as me with me. I never felt, ‘I have to get rid of Em to get big.’”

50 Cent is no stranger to beef, feuding with many of the biggest rappers in the game including Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and of course former G-Unit member The Game. 50 goes on to state that although his been invovled in countless rap beefs, he understands that beef doesn’t sell records.

“Beef doesn’t actually sell records. It creates that barbershop/beauty salon conversation. Hit records sell records,” 50 stated.(theversed)

Rihanna’s ‘Unapologetic’ album debuts at number 1 on the sales charts, moving just under 240,000 copies in its first week.

Chris Brown And Drake Won’t Faces Charges From Summer Brawl.

Neither Chris Brown nor Drake will have to deal with criminal charges following their involvement in a brawl this summer in a NYC nightclub. The two musicians were allegedly part of a massive bottle-hurling fight in the WIP nightclub on June 14th, but apparently there isn’t sufficient evidence to pursue a case.

Investigators were unable to use video from the club’s surveillance system because its poor quality and interviews with witnesses didn’t offer any leads, according to TMZ.

The singer’s crews, too, are off the hook and the decision by New York’s law enforcement comes as no surprise according to Drake’s lawyer Blair Berk who said, “Drake was never even a suspect so it’s no surprise.”

Brown was apparently injured during the scuffle when a bottle hit his chin as were several club goers including NBA star Tony Parker who has filed a $20 million lawsuit against the WIP claiming he suffered an eye injury.(theversed)

Merlin loses its magic! BBC to axe hit show after fifth series.

Merlin is to be axed after five series, it has been announced.

The BBC has announced the fantasy drama - which stars Colin Morgan and Richard Wilson - will reach a 'natural and dramatic end' with a two-part finale this Christmas.

The show's co-creators Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy said: 'This is the series where the storylines truly reach their apex.

'We always felt the story of the legend was best told across five series, leading to a spectacular finale that draws on the best known elements of this much-loved story and brings to a conclusion the battle for Camelot.

'We'd like to thank the amazing cast and crew for their professionalism and dedication, the BBC, FME and all of our partners globally for their incredible support and encouragement across the last five series.'

The latest season of Merlin has pulled in more than seven million viewers on Saturday nights, and BBC One Controller, Danny Cohen, admits the show will be 'missed'.

He said: 'Merlin's mix of magic, adventure and humour quickly became a hit with BBC One audiences and has continued to thrill families over the last five years on Saturday nights.

'I admire the creators' decision to end Merlin on a high, but also know that we will miss it in the BBC One schedule.'

Colin Morgan, who plays titular character Merlin, believes the show has 'run its natural course'.

He explained: 'The show has grown and grown each year and now we've arrived at its strongest point and we've achieved what we set out to do

'I know this is the end, and I know this is goodbye, but thank you for being there on the journey with us because it has been a lot of fun!'

Chris Brown Deletes Twitter Account After Nasty Exchange.

Chris Brown has deleted his Twitter account again, E! Online reports, this time after a nasty exchange yesterday with comedy writer Jenny Johnson.

The back-and-forth began when Brown tweeted, "I look old as fuck! I'm only 23 . . .," and Johnson replied, "I know! Being a worthless piece of shit can really age a person." Johnson has been a persistent critic of Brown's on Twitter since he was arrested in February 2009 for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna and, in Johnson's view, not showing remorse.

This time, Brown responded, tweeting vulgar insults that included calling Johnson a "hoe" and suggesting she perform oral sex on him. Johnson corrected his spelling during their exchange, and tweeted a link to a story about Brown's 2009 arrest.

According to Celebrity Tweet, Brown signed off after posting:
"To teambreezy . . . Know that I'm not upset. Just felt like entertaining the ignorance. These bitches crazy . . . Further proved my point of how immature society is. #CarpeDiem."

Johnson's final tweet on the subject read:
"According to Team Breezy, if you have a difference of opinion with someone, 'eating a dick' is the cure for any and all problems. #Knowledge."

Brown previously shut down his Twitter account in December 2009 after ranting about retailers he thought had refused to carry his album, Graffiti.

Nicki Minaj Denies Threatening Mariah Carey, Questions Barbara Walters Not Asking About Her Side Of The Beef

In the second edition of her E! special ‘My Truth,’ Nicki Minaj has explained her side of her now infamous argument with Mariah Carey on the set of ‘American Idol.’ The YMCMB star explained that she never threatened the singer and took on Barbara Walters for hastily judging her on ‘The View.’

Minaj explained that the rumors of her threatening Carey are simply ridiculous. “I really felt good when I left yesterday and then I hear that Mariah went to Barbara Walters with some more fabrication that even the producers told her was never said. Telling Barbara I said something about a gun, which everybody knows that I’m way smarter than that. Literally my jaw was just hanging open and I was in shock. I’ve never in my life said anything regarding a gun,” Minaj said according to MTV.

Walters response to the incident left Minaj unimpressed as well and she explained that ‘The View’ host could have at least reached out to her camp before passing judgment. “Am I not good enough for you to get my side, because I’m a little black girl that raps? Because if I was J. Lo, you would’ve called J. Lo’s camp. But are we not good enough for you Barbara? ‘Cause you wasn’t even there when I was on the show Barbara. So I guess I’m not good enough but I’m only good enough for you to tell people I’m ‘unpredictable,’ when you don’t f—–g know me?”

Minaj also indicated her respect for Carey’s career explaining that she feels the singer is an asset to the ‘Idol’ set. “Why would I wanna have a rift with someone I’ve looked up to my whole life? I’ve loved her and even told her that in the meeting. Actually I’m happy that Mariah’s on the panel because I think that’s a great thing. You’ve got one of the best singers than ever sang ever in the world. Ain’t nothing wrong with that, but the fact that you had a problem with me being on there and that’s why there’s an issue,” said Minaj. (theversed)

UPDATE: Dr. Jose C stings Bebe Kool in Fresh Verbal Attack.

The people who used to be Friends are now Bitter Enemies. Right now, the Beef between Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool is no longer News. But the Rift between Dr. Jose C and Bebe Kool is growing bigger day by day.

It all started when Bebe Kool held his KAMWAKO Launch on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Nov... Then on Monday 5th Nov, Dr. Jose C posted on his Facebook page that:

I FEEL LIKE LAUGHING FOR A WHOLE WEEK!!

BUT MY CHEEKS R PAINING. I HAVE STOPPED. Have a nice week
LEONE ISLAND FAMILY. LEONE ISLAND FOREVER.

Bebe Kool played it cool waiting for Chameleone's GYENVUDDE Concert on 9th Nov at OBLIGATO, the same day as Sean Paul's Live in Kampala Concert.

On Saturday, 10th Nov, Bebe Kool posted on his Facebook Page reacting to Dr. Jose C:

Hahahahahahahahahahahah,A SMALL BAR LIKE OBLIGATO,aha KRIS EVANS MUNENE.NEIBA A WAS HUMBLED TO 120 PIPO.ODANGAMU NO YASAMA ATE GAKYALI MABAGA.

Now, this didn't go down well with Dr. Jose C who reacted with a very Harsh Tone based on his post today, Sunday 11th Nov:

I AM FORCED TO BUY A BLACK BOARD TO TEACH MY NEIGHBOUR IN KIWATULE A FEW IMPORTANT WAYS TO BE WISER AS TIME IS RUNNING OUT ON THEM.

LESSONS:

1: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
2: WHEN TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH
3:CONSTRUCTIVE MUSIC

If at 45 YEARS YOU ARE STILL FUMBLING THEN YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE..

LEONE ISLAND TUGENDE TUKOLE!!!!!!!!

Whatever is going on between these two, only God knows. But i think Jose C doesn't want to admit that another artiste can also fill up Kyadondo grounds on a concert night.

Will keep you posted incase of any update.

FORBES NAMES TOP 5 UGANDAN MULTI-MILLIONAIRES.

Ahead of its November list of the Top 40 richest people in Africa, Forbes has released a list of five Ugandan multi-millionaires one ought to know.

The five described as low-key, ultra-wealthy Ugandan tycoons, entrepreneurs and business leaders are Sudhir Rupa-relia, Patrick Bitature, Charles Mbire, Amiral Karmali and Amos Nzeyi.

Each of them is worth more than $50 million.

Forbes.com adds that there are no politicians or criminals on the list — just good, successful businessmen.

Sudhir Ruparelia is famous for his Ruparelia Group, Uganda’s largest privately held conglomerate.

Patrick Bitature is the founder and chairman of Simba Telecom, East Africa’s largest mobile phone retailer with over 100 modern retail outlets in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya Telecom. Bitature owns Protea Hotels Kampala, a 5-star hotel located in the upmarket suburb of Kololo in Kampala.

Amiral Karmali is the founder of East Africa’s Mukwano Group while Amos Nzeyi is the chairman and owner of Crown Beverages, Uganda’s sole bottler of PepsiCo products.

He also owned a 40% stake in Uganda’s National Bank of Commerce before it was taken over by Ruparelia’s Crane Bank in September.

Beyoncé Pens Open Letter To President Barack Obama.

Hours away from finding out if President Barack Obama will stay in office or if Republican nominee Mitt Romney will win the presidency, music mogul Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has penned an open letter to the head of state.

In the handwritten letter, Bey credits President Obama for serving as a motivator and inspiration to her family.

"President OBAMA, Everyday we see your heart and character, inspiring all of us to give more of ourselves. You are the leader to take us From where we are to where we need to be. You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be. All my Respect and Adoration [sic]" (Miss Info TV)

"Michelle, is the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman. She is a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the FIRST LADY!!!! No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope - she's humble, loving, and sincere. She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways. Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us - I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to. Love, Beyonce." (Beyonce)

Pretty Glo Plays 2 Guys at Club Silk..!

Singer Pretty Glo played a zungu fellow like an ace last night at the Kampala Wears Gucci Night at Club Silk.

The babe arrived at the club in the company of another light skinned babe but moments later were joined by a zungu guy. He kept buying for them Bitter beer for quite some time.

However things got kind of funny later when pretty Glo and her friend kept on excusing themselves to go to the rest room when instead they were going to Oxygen.

We got nosy and guess what.

When we followed the babe, we discovered she was with a dark skinned fellow making merry at a reserved table. Glo made it very professional to the extent that she was spending about twelve minutes with each guy.

By the time we left at about 1:30am, Pretty Glo was still at her game.(Chimpreports.com)

Shock As Shanks Vivi Dee Joins Leone Island.

Word has it that Shanks who was the guy behind the UgaRagga Revolution in Uganda, ditched rival cash strapped Goodlyfe Crew a few weeks ago for Leone Island.

Shanks happens to be one of the people who connected Chameleone to the mother of his second Daughter, Greant Osea aka Dorotia.

This development which has been kept in check has finally come to light as Shanks is always seen with Chameleone and the Leone Island Crew.

Raggamaffin Shanks Vi Vi Dee

The last time that the two were seen together was last night at the “Kampala Wears Gucci Night” at Club Silk.

Doreen Kabareebe (Miss Pantyless) becomes Pastor.

If the world has witnessed any great transformation then that is the one of Doreen Kabareebe the model who months back was spotted together with Chameleone showcasing her bare butt.

However from that incident, the initially reactive Nkumba University student has transformed into a Facebook preacher. BigEye.ug can comfortably reveal that Kabareebe is now a member of Christ Embassy Banda church. She prays fervently in tongues and is more than a conqueror.

Having missed out on her graduation for the second time, Kabareebe is believed to be depressed and has decided to cast her burdens unto God. We at BigEye.ug do you justice and post those sermons delivered by Pastor Doreen Kabareebe.

Gucci Mane Disses Nicki Minaj And French Montana, Says They “Didn’t Keep It Real”.

Gucci Mane doesn’t hold either Nicki Minaj or French Montana in very high regard and recently explained that he feels both musicians haven’t demonstrated gratitude to those who helped them early in their career.

According to Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj hasn’t done a good enough job of remembering that he helped her build her career, although she did thank him for his support. “When she came to Atlanta she gave me a shout out, said I helped her in her career, but at the end of the day I just think a lot of times you keep it real with somebody, you can’t expect them to keep it real with you. I told you man [in] this industry, [people] that want to be famous, people forget how to keep it real and forget the people that helped them get to where they at. I tip my hat to Nicki for being hard worker, but at the same time, she know she didn’t keep it real,” Gucci told Atlanta’s Hot 107.9.

Gucci Mane added that he had a similar opinion about French Montana and explained that French is well aware of Gucci’s opinion. “French Montana know he didn’t keep it real,” said Mane.

Gucci explained that the only reason he was willing to offer his opinion about either rapper was because their behavior has affected his affairs. “My thing I aint going out my way to even tell somebody that they aint real, or they fake, or they lame cuz all that, that’s got nothing to do with me. But when it starts spilling into my business and my affairs, I’m a vocal person, I usually speak on it,” said Mane.(The Versed)

Jay-Z Set To Introduce President Obama At Ohio Rally On Monday.

President Obama is planning on winning a few more votes in the swing states with a rally on November 5th and he’s recruited Jay-Z to help out with the event. The rapper has long been a support of Obama and the two even speak of each other as friends.

The performance will go down in Columbus, Ohio and while Bruce Springsteen is set to take the stage as well, Jay-Z will introduce the president to the audience. Hov won’t just be there to give the stage to the president, and he’ll have a chance to address the audience according to TheHill.com.

The rally also includes stops in Madison, Wisconsin just before Ohio and then move onto Des Moines, Iowa and it looks like Springsteen is on for all three stops, although Hov may only appear in Ohio.

Hov has already helped out the campaign when he hosted a fundraiser for Obama at his New York City 40/40 club which raised $4 million for the president. (The Versed)

2 Chainz Eyes Summer 2013 Release Date for Sophomore Studio Album.

2 Chainz is looking to drop his sophomore album sometime during the summer season of 2013, and explains that he already has 3 tracks recorded for the project.

Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz made quite a name for himself on the mainstream rap scene during 2012 with the release of his much buzzed about album ‘Based On A T.R.U. Story.’ It looks like the rapper has big plans for 2013 as well, mentioning that he is looking to have his album complete by April of next year, and that he already has 3 songs recorded for the sophomore effort.

“I’m trying to turn in my album by April of next year,” he told MTV. “It won’t come out then but I’m at least trying to turn it in and set up for more tours because we enjoy doing live shows, so be looking out for more of that from the crew.”

To keep promotion going for both the album and the tour, 2 Chainz began his B.O.A.T.S. web series, and he announced that the next release will be for “I’m Different.”

“I’m shooting ‘I’m Different’ real soon,” he said. “I wrote the treatment for that and I’m really excited to continue pushing the envelope and giving the fans something to see, some excitement again, really building that curiosity up with hip-hop again — I’m happy to be one of the frontrunners for that campaign.”(The Versed)

Meek Mill Talks Rap Battles, Says He’d Take On Cassidy Or Murda Mook.

Meek Mill has no fear of the battle rap ring and recently said he’d be willing to combat Cassidy or Mook, although he set a substantial fee on his participation. Mill added that he has a background in rap battles and noted that he’s done plenty of things so far in his career that others haven’t been able to accomplish.

Mill noted that artists on major labels rarely return to the ring once they’ve made it, but he’d be willing to make an arena event out of a battle. “I ain’t scared to do it. I was the first to do two tours without really having an album out. The first to do three million downloads in an hour or two. The first to jump back in the ring to battle. One of the first to be rocking arenas when people in cities never even heard of me. Why not be the first to jump back in the ring and do my thing? It’s what I love,” Mill told The Warner Sound.

Mill added that he’s confident enough in his abilities that a battle would probably benefit his sales. “I don’t think you could damage me in no type of way where I would lose that bad where somebody wouldn’t want to buy my albums or participate. I don’t even have plans on losing…Since [being 13], I never ever lost a battle. I’ve probably battled 1,500 people in my life. I’m a leader. I don’t follow people. We have a lane to take this to another level where a whole ‘nother money circuit could open up. I’m a leader. I’m willing to take that leadership and when I take that leadership, don’t be mad when I’m the only one getting that leader money,” said Mill.

But Mill has to make something off of the event and set his ticket price at $100K. “You gotta have $100[,000] or more. I can’t do it for free. That ain’t my lane…Win, lose or draw – just for even stepping on the court. I’d do Cassidy and Mook right now,” said Mill. (The Versed)
