Kanye West and Jay-Z’s collaborative effort ‘Watch The Throne’ was the most illegally downloaded in the country according to a recent report.
When Jay-Z and Kanye West t announced they would be teaming up to drop a collaboration album dubbed ‘Watch The Throne,’ fans already knew something epic was on the horizon. The two certainly delivered one hell of a project, and followed up with a tour unlike anything music fans have ever encountered.
The project quickly went on to become certified platinum, surpassing the 1 million mark in album sales, but ‘Watch The Throne’ earned itself another accolade when it comes to digital downloads.
The ‘Watch The Throne’ album was the number one most illegally downloaded LP in the United States. According to the folks at Spin, the album was illegally downloaded 71,132.
That is certainly a large number, but even more staggering is the fact that Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’ album was illegally downloaded a whopping 1,228,313 times worldwide, making it the most illegally downloaded song in the entire world.
