SERA of Swangz Avenue is DEAD..!!!

So sad but true, In less than one month, Uganda has lost yet another talented artist.

Sera popular for songs like Fire, Contagious and Sunrise has passed away. According to sources, Sera Nampijja died of Ulcers.

By the time of her death, she was finalizing with her latest video editing that was being worked on from Ark Menz in Nansana. After releasing Fire video that didn't workout so well for her, the Young Diva decided to redo it.

We tried reaching Producer Nash her boyfriend but his phone was switched off. Jemimah Sanyu a singer and elder sister to Nash told us in a low tone “She was coming from Masaka from a burial, and started vomiting blood while in the vehicle, Sera was rushed to the hospital but it was too late to save her life”.

She added “Nash can’t speak now; I either can’t say anything much for now”.

She was a sweet, beautiful young talented singer that Uganda and the whole world will miss.

Rest In Peace Sera.

Tanzania Promoters Vow to Crash Dr.Jose. C's Balls.

Information from Tanzania indicates that there has been a fast growing beef between Chameleon and many Tanzanian promoters.

Eric Shigongo’s media man in Uganda Abu who is currently in Tanzania revealed many promoters had been booking Chameleon over the years but he had been playing them.

Ever since Chameleon got beaten up in Tanzania, he has been having fears about that country but that has not stopped him from taking performance fees and yet he never appears.

Shigongo had the support of many promoters in Tanzania and promoters are swearing never to hire Chameleon or once he sets foot in Tz he will have a story to tell if he ever come s back to Uganda alive.

MTV Video Music Awards 2012: Drake & Rihanna lead Nominations.

Drake and Rihanna have both picked up five nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2012.

Rihanna picked up nods for her videos 'We Found Love' and 'Where Have You Been', while Drake's 'Take Care' - which also features Rihanna - picked up four nominations. His video with Lil Wayne, 'HYFR', also got named in the shortlist.


Coldplay were awarded with three nominations, with two of those coming for 'Princess of China', another song featuring Rihanna.

Katy Perry also did well, earning three nods for 'Wide Awake' and one for 'Part of Me', while acts such as Frank Ocean, The Throne, Beyoncé and MIA won three nominations each.

Justin Bieber, fun., Linkin Park, Avicii, Gotye, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Duck Sauce, Skrillex and Lana Del Rey all picked up two nods, as did One Direction - winning the boyband battle with The Wanted, who got one.

The 'Video of the Year' category, meanwhile, will see Drake's 'Take Care', Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' and Perry's 'Wide Awake' battle it out with MIA's 'Bad Girls' and Rihanna's 'We Found Love'.

The MTV Video Music Awards 2012 will be held in Los Angeles on September 6.

Copy Right Law in Uganda: The Idea Vs The Reality.

I must start by admitting that it is ideal for all forms of art music inclusive, to be protected by stringent copy right legislation; aimed at protecting the artists and ensuring their maximum benefit from their work.

However, I am more of a realist than I am of an idealist, and this is what I feel.
Given the fact that the Ugandan music industry is fragile and barely out of infancy; coupled with the fact that the industry is devoid of professional structures, stringent copyright laws are less helpful than they are productive.

I believe that emphasis should first be put on strengthening professional structures! Let’s create strong production, management, promotion and marketing mechanisms before we think of protecting the rights of an industry that is barely off its feet.

I’ll start with piracy and uncensored duplication. In this area, we are primarily talking about the guys in shopping mall corridors who burn CDs. Truth be told but eighty percent of Ugandan musicians take their music themselves to these guys; with the aim of having it popularized and widely known, there by attracting many to their concerts.

In the absence of these guys that burn CDs, Ugandan musicians must therefore be ready to heavily invest in all forms of publicity. The stars you see in mature music industries invest heftily in publicity; including radio, television, print media, billboards and all the other forms of public outreach.

Musicians must also be ready to invest in a professional marketing and sales infrastructure, aimed at ensuring record/album sales. It is very easy for anyone to argue that this will affect only the upcoming musicians and not the top guns. But let’s be realistic; how many Ugandans can part with 15.000/= to buy a Ugandan music album, when they can access better quality international music online, free of charge?

As if that is not bad enough, stringent copy right legislation means that it will be as hard as squeezing juice from a stone, for an upcoming artist to break even. Well, you can argue that this will ensure quality and that only the best get through. Need I remind you that you might never know which musician is good, until you get to hear about them? Stringent copyright laws will make it hard for you to hear about them.

In the mean time, copyright laws should be more civil than criminal. This way, the onus will be on a particular musician to decide whether or not they want to sue for infringement. This is opposed to a criminal set up, where the onus is on police to apprehend culprits.

This way, we shall enable the growth of our music industry and get tougher laws when the timing is more realistic.

GAGAMEL Proves its the Best Crew in UG.

Gagamel Entertainment on Saturday showcased its music abilities as it launched the Gagamel Phamily nite at the Lumumba Avenue based Steak Out.

At an event that was mainly attended by Gagamel Entertainment diehard fans, the crew showed that it is not a one man crew but one with several musicians. Between 8 and 9:30 pm, a huge list of artists performed one after the other many of whom were new to even the Gagamel fans.

These were followed by Gagamel crew lead names led by Gagamel Founder and CEO Bebe Cool, new Gagamel Crew manager also musician Tickitah, Tuff B, Rema, Edith K, Gaga Bounty, Shortkut and Denzo. Kidfox also appeared and performed for the Gagamel fans. During his performance, Bebe Cool was backed by a live band.

At the launch of this monthly night, Bebe Cool urged Gagamel fans to stay together and continue supporting Gagamel Phamily night even during times when he is out of the country.

This fans night that will be happening on the last Saturday of each month will be held interchangeably. It will be switched between Steak Out Lumumba Avenue and Steak Out Kabalagala.

Tusker Project Fame: Ruth Matete Wins The 5 Million Kshs

The East African Music Competition, Tusker Project Fame - Season 5 that saw 15 contestants compete for 5 million KShs ended today (Sunday 29th July 2012). The show that lasted eight weeks came to an end as Ruth Matete from Kenya was crowned winner amidst celebrations.

Ruth who couldn’t believe her luck when she was announced winner of Tusker Project fame 5 by Judge Gerrard. She then lied on the ground taken up by a mixture of emotion. When asked by TPF presenter Sheila to give remarks about her win, Ruth was lost for words. She could only manage to thank her maker for making her reach this great moment in her life. “Thank you God” She said.

In 4th place was big Joe from Burundi who was closely followed by Jackson Kalimba from Rwanda. Doreen took up the second position according to the public vote both via text and online.

When Ruth was announced winner, Judge Ian could not hide his excitement as he stood up in respect of the great TPF star. Ruth Matete then sang the song she did last week on the same stage. Halleluyah, Judge Ian could not help but sing along.

The finale also saw guest performances from Kenya’s biggest hip hop act, Camp Mulla and a Kenyan Micheal Jackson wanna be performer, Samuel Gitau who electrified the live audience and the fans at home (judging by the tweets).

The winner of TPF5, in this case Kenya’s Ruth Matete won a whooping Kshs5m and a recording contract worth Kshs10 million.

Big Brother Stargame Finale Sets In As Janette is Evicted.

Right from Saturday when DJ PITTA showed the housemates how we spin the turntables back in Uganda; the live eviction show brought the last standing couple to its climax. It was Prezzo, Lady May, Janette and Kyle up for possible eviction.

As tension built down, Prezzo and lady May got saved and it was the two Ugandans against each other before IK broke it down that Janette was to be evicted. The race is now between six housemates, 2 upvillers against 4 downvillers. Come Sunday 5th, one or two housemates will walk away with the 300 000 USD prize.

The Ugandan, Janette Lutaaya has had an extensive and sometimes controversial run inside of the Big Brother Africa Houses. Who could ever forget her raunchy dance moves, her drunken antics or her man chasing ways that led to her being dubbed Lola Fierce. She is most likely to remain in South Africa till the finals. Janette had never been nominated throughout her stay in the house, no-wonder her first time on the chopping block saw her being evicted.

The Question is, who will take the money home. It is now the final week, whether it is Lady may, Prezzo, Kyle, Wati, Talia or Keagan, the answer lies in how Africa will vote.

Flavia Tumusiime Served Food with "Big Fly".

Capital Fm Presenter / City Socialite Flavia Tumusiime stormed out of a posh restaurant in Kampala on Tuesday after her eyes confronted a huge fly in food served to her.

Flavia almost collapsed at seeing the Big Fly also enjoying the Italian food on her Plate at Lafontaine Restaurant Plot 6, Bukoto Street.

"I will have to fight real hard to get here again. I have totally lost my appetitive. Why is this happening?” Flavia asked one of the waitresses.

She went ahead to post on her Facebook Wall:
“So Lafontaine Restaurant gave me lunch with this huge fly....and they had the most arrogant reaction when I told them about it...i see apologies come hard nowadays!!!!!!”.

The incident left the restaurant’s management with facial lacerations and could rip apart its reputation.

She asked Wati if she would marry her, if she got on her knees and proposed. Wati did not hesitate.
"Of course I would," he said. Wati promised he would not only marry her, but that he would provide for their babies.

Kyle almost had his head bitten off by Talia, for allowing Jannette to drink as much as he does.

After Jannette finally called it a night, Talia laid into Kyle for allowing Jannette's drinking to escalate as much as it normally does. "Where have you been when she has done all these things," Talia asked.

Kyle defended himself and revealed how he has had a countless number of talks with her about her problems with alcohol.

"When I spoke to her, she told me she is over 21 and is legal. She told me she will continue drinking. I cannot control her, but I definitely have spoken to her on several occasions," Kyle said.

The mini-argument continued, with Kyle sticking to his guns. The Ugandan insisted however, that he will not give up on Jannette.

GNL, Prof Bigg Eye and Others Oppose Copyright Law.

You may now have to think twice if you thought all artistes would support copyright enforcement. Following the taxation hunt, artistes decided to avenge by lobbying for the effecting of the Copyright law to the dot. Among those who pushed so hard for it are Bobi Wine, Chameleone, Ragga Dee and Geoffrey Lutaaya.

However other artistes are playing on a completely different note.

GNL ZAMBA, the CEO of Baboon Forest entertainment asserted his views of the copyright law.
“I am surprised that only a handful of guys in my trade understand WTF copyright in Uganda is or what it intends to achieve, someone yesterday wanted me to sign on a petition and even tried to convince me that it is a disease......lol i guess what should be done is give this whole hullabaloo time (at least 6months) and educate the players and the public first coz if it has to work, it has to be holistic. NB. Copyright enforcement is inevitable might happen in my generation if UPRS shows transparency and if the authority is willing to commit minds to education of the law first before enforcement.”

According to GNL, artistes don’t really understand what they are lobbying for and it will hurt the upcoming artistes whose music needs to be played. Prof Bigg eye also added his views on the issue by saying that everyone in Uganda has a right to his music since he was not yet under copyright. To further back-up GNL, Navio shared his status on his facebook page.

50 Cent Talks Hip-Hop Crews: "Without Lil Wayne, There's No Young Money"

G-Unit rapper 50 Cent recently offered his take on the state of New York hip-hop and how most rap crews cannot strive without a strong leader to guide them.

50 used Lil Wayne's Young Money and Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang as prime examples of current rap crews with strong frontmen.

"I think it's good, I think we're in a good state now," Fif said when asked for his take on the current status of New York hip-hop. "I just think a lot of the artists are hovering under the older crews that worked already when they should be creating their new crew. ... Of course you need one person that's really a spearhead, when one break, the rest of them get a shot. Without [Lil] Wayne, there's no Young Money. Once one artist gets over the wall, that brand is cool. Wiz [Khalifa,] you see he's got a group of artists around him now. Sherman Hemsley aka "George Jefferson" Dead At 74.

Famed television star Sherman Hemsley, most known for his portrayal as George Jefferson from "The Jeffersons," has passed away at the age of 74.


Reports of his untimely death emerged online Tuesday (July 24) afternoon.

Sherman Hemsley, the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in "The Jeffersons," has died at his El Paso home, according to a friend in El Paso. Hemsley, 74, starred in The Jeffersons and Amen TV shows. He also was a musician and performed a few times with the 62nd Army Band in El Paso. Dennis Woo, program director at KTEP radio, said Hemsley would call the radio station every so often and share stories off air with Woo. (KVIA News)


His passing caught the attention of radio veteran Big Tigger who sent out his condolences.

Hemsley's "George Jefferson" name has also been used in various raps over the past few decades.

The song's hook and chorus allude to the theme song of the television sitcom, The Jeffersons. Police Deploys Heavily As Musicians Threaten Protest In Kampala.

Police have deployed heavily in Kampala as Ugandan local artistes plan to stage a demonstration, citing government’s failure to come down hard on music pirates.

Led by Jose Chameleone, the artistes also accuse government of refusing to stay a proposed tax on their music concerts and properties.

They argue that for government to introduce a new tax on their benefits, it should first strengthen and enforce the copyright law in the country.

As i write this, the artistes, who include Bebe Cool, Judith Babirye, Bobi Wine Ragga Dee and many more are holed up at the Royal Theatre in Old Kampala where they are planning for the demonstration. The meeting is being chaired by Wasulwa of Afrigo Band.

The musicians have also been joined by filmmakers.

This is the second time they are threatening to strike in a space of just two weeks.

WEIRD NEWS: Man bites off Ear of POLICE DOG and flees.

Police in Wilmington have a real man bites dog story.

Police say a suspect trying to elude officers bit the ear of a police dog earlier this week.

Police spokeswoman Lucy Crockett says doctors on Sunday had to stitch back together the ear of the injured police dog named Maxx.

Authorities were trying to arrest 22-year-old Travis Keith Glaspie who was wanted for a weekend shooting. Officers received information about Glaspie's whereabouts in Wilmington and Maxx chased him. The dog was injured as it tried to stop Glaspie.

Glaspie was being held on $1 million bond on charges of assault on a law enforcement animal, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, property damage and possession of a controlled substance. Jail officials did not know if he has a lawyer.

CRAZY WORLD: Wife stabs hubby over Facebook Status Update.

TEXAS: A wife landed in jail over her husband's Facebook Status Update. She was so furious over the status that she entered into an argument with the man and chased him around at home with a knife in hand. She even stabbed him in the hand.

The woman even jabbed him with her car keys.

A police patrol car was despatched to the couple's house in the dead of the night. The patrolling officer was met by a man with a bloodied hand outisde his home.

The woman claimed that the duo had fought after the man was high on drugs. However, the man claimed that she became upset over something he had written on his wall on the social networking site.

The woman could be facing jail for 20 years as she was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

UPDATE: Usher's 11 Year-Old Stepson Dies From Heart Failure.

R&B star Usher lost a loved one over the weekend when his 11 year-old stepson Kile Glover was taken off life support weeks after getting into a horrific jet ski accident.

According to reports, Glover experienced heart failure after the family pulled him off life support.

Kile Glover, stepson of singer Usher Raymond and biological child of ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond, died Saturday morning (July 21), according to Channel 2 Action News. Kile was taken off of life support Saturday morning and died from heart failure according to a family friend, weeks after the 11-year-old was involved in a tragic Jet Ski accident. Kile was declared brain dead two days after the July 6 accident, and the family struggled with the decision to remove him from life support hoping for a turn in his condition. (MTV)

Glover's tragic accident took place in early July during a Georgia family outing.

Usher's celebrity pals showed an outpour of support on Twitter following the singer's terrible tragedy this past weekend. The singer's 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover has been declared brain dead after he and a 15-year-old gal pal were admitted to a hospital following a boating accident Friday. The pair were floating on inner tubes in Georgia's Lake Lanier Friday when a Jet Ski struck the two youngsters. Glover, whose mother is Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, was reportedly struck in the head and was knocked unconscious, according to Department of Natural Resources Sergeant Mike Burgamy. Stecia Mayanja Threatens to sing at Kwanjula with mum’s Dead Body.

Just like Golola Moses, Stecia Mayanja is not a joking subject.

Last Friday Stecia was paid 1,000,000ugx to perform at a kwanjula the next day. Well early the next day, they called her to confirm her appearance and she assured them of how she had lost her mum’s sister and so she couldn’t be able to sing at the function.

The booking agents pressed her hard to justify her absence and she lost her temper which resulted into quarreling from both parties.

After a disappointing exit from the academy, Allan has not stopped building his career in music. However, the former Tusker project fame five representative believes that it wasn’t his luck to remain in the academy. He believes all that happened was God’s plan. Drawing a sparking line from his statement, Allan says “it is all about luck in the house and not talent.”

A$AP Rocky Arrested In NYC After Beating Up Photographers

New York rapper A$AP Rocky was reportedly arrested last night (July 19) in the Big Apple after assaulting two photographers.

According to reports, the incident started after a verbal dispute caught the attention of a couple onlookers.

According to law enforcement sources ... A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, had gotten into a verbal dispute with someone in downtown Manhattan, when 2 civilians started snapping photos of the incident. We're told A$AP and a friend quickly turned their attention to the amateur photogs ... and a full-fledged fight erupted. Our sources say the two victims suffered cuts and bruises with one requiring treatment at a hospital. (TMZ)

He has reportedly been slapped with an attempted robbery charge.

CD Burners to be Arrested For Music Piracy as Bobi, Bebe and Chamili’s Accounts Get Frozen.

All is not well for the people who have been living off burning CDs as police has now launched an operation to arrest each one of them. The police operation comes after the musicians’ anger that was directed at URA and the Ugandan government which has done little for the music industry yet wants artistes to pay taxes.

For example Uganda Revenue Authority- URA has really taken it to the wall by issuing an arrest warrant for Jose Chameleone aka Joseph Mayanja. Bobi Wine’s account on the other hand was frozen but this particular account only had one million shillings. Chameleone has been issued a deadline to pay 17million or else face arrest. Bebe Cool and Mesach Ssemakula’s houses have been sealed by URA. Ragga Dee aka Dan Kazibwe’s new car has been confiscated till he clears taxes while the money MTN paid to Eagles production to aid Geoffrey Lutaaya’s launch was also taken by URA.

With all these activities by URA, artistes were so angered that they all decided to go and meet Andrew Kawesi and pour out their anger. This demonstration was led by Geoffrey Lutaaya and was opposed by Bobi Wine. According to Bobi Wine, artistes need to first form and register an organization yet Lutaaya says many of such organizations have been formed and registered. Lutaaya says they have talked for so long, it is now time for action.

At CPS, all artistes agreed in unison that CD burners have to be stopped and arrested. Andrew Kawesi, the police chief could not agree more and thus it is now illegal for anyone to burn music CDS. However the CD burners have also decided to form an association that will bring them to a common table and enable them to pay for copyright and operate freely without restraint. Once a CD burner is registered, he will be issued an operation certificate.

I personally think that URA’s move will finally develop the Ugandan music industry and help rid out the gamblers from the industry. Since national athletes who win medals are also taxed, Musicians may also deserve to be taxed since it is not only singing that is a talent.

As he was busy rocking crowds at Saba Saba stadium in Dar es salaam a few weeks ago, the manager of Kasnagti Cottages was busy losing equipment.

Apparently Chameloene was hired to sing for over 4 millions but got an emergency deal in Tanzania so he left. The manager almost arrested Chameleone on his return at the airport but he survived narrowly.

A Man in Rakai District sent villagers of MAANYA into a Frenzy when he started laying Eggs.
It all started as a joking subject when he told them that he can lay Eggs. He then demanded for 5,000 ugx and he sampled them with a Raw Egg which he prepared and ate it.

As if that not enough, he then laid a "BOILED" Egg..YES..A Boiled One.

He then demanded for 30,000 to lay a Fresh Egg with a Soft Shell just like that from a HEN.

Eddy Kenzo's OGENDA KUNZISA Conecert a Massive SUCCESS.

After many years of Hustling, Finally KENZO can sit and have a cup of Coffee with the Likes of BEBE KOOL, JOSE. C & BOBI WINE on the same Table.

Eddy Kenzo of the Stamina fame launched his Ogenda Kunzisa album last Friday at Equatorial parking space. The show that saw many Ugandan music lovers in attendance also attracted some big shots.

Eddie Kenzo started his performance at around 9.45pm right from the first song that he sang as a young musician. He kept on thanking the massive crowd for turning up to support him as he sang the different songs. “Mwebale nnyo kuwagila Eddy Kenzo, Ne Big Talent yonna” he said.

The show also saw star singers like Dr Jose Chameleone and Mesach Ssemakula perform some of their popular songs.It was organised by Balaam enterprise and sponsored by Bukedde media group, Ssema property consultants, Moonberg lager, Dyna Pharm, Ssema property consultants among others.

At some point during the show, Kenzo was given 25 acres of land by Ssema Property Consultants, he was also given a car with a personalised number plate. He is to pick it from the bond later on. Lukwago, Nsereko Gashumba and MP Mbarara West gave him alot of money in gratitude for his good work. Mr Gashumba then said that ‘ Kenzo Muntu Mulamu, Talina Ntalo’ Literary meaning that Kenzo is a peace loving musician who doesn't like fighting and concentrates on his music career.

Kenzo went to Mukoono on Saturday and to the beach on Sunday for the final bit of his launch.

Former Bella's Manager, Unik Javenile was hired by Zink productions an entertainment company that is based in Toronto Canada to manage their new Ugandan signing MYA Baganda.

Kisima Awards 2012 Call For Artist Submission.

The Kisima Awards which were founded in 1994 with an aim of recognizing outstanding achievement in the performing arts and associated spheres such as education and business, will be held on the 28th September at Kenyatta international conference. The organizers of the 10th edition annual Kisima Awards have announced that they are accepting submission from artists.

The Kisima Awards will feature 32 categories which will include:

Urban fusion (male, female and group), Ethnic fusion artiste/group, Gospel (female, male and group), Benga artist and group, Boomba (female, male and group), Hip-hop (female, male and group), Reggae artist/group, Ragga artist/group, Traditional artist/group, Ensemble, Song and video of the three East Africa countries and Songwriter of the year. Other cash awards will include Best Male artist, Best Female artist (East Africa), Best Group (East Africa), Lifetime achievement, Most promising Artist Best Collaboration.

The procedures/criteria for interested artists are as follows:

1. A song / Album released between 1st April 2009 – 1st April 2011
2. Resident of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zanzibar, Southern Sudan or originally from the mentioned countries though residing in another part of the world.
3. Music that has its origin and instrumentation from the greater Africa region though the artiste is from outside the mention countries.
4. Entry Form duly filled in all sections accompanied with music audio or music video in the format recommended i.e. CD/Cassette of Song/Album. Music Video in DVD, VCD or DV Tape format.
5. Music Video,(Will be entered for Music Video of the Year Award)
6. A song as a single for consideration for nomination.
7. An Album for consideration for nomination.
8. Download the entry form by logging onto www.kisimaawards.co.ke (download entry form) and print it out.
9. Entry Submission Deadline – 30th June 2011
10. Entry Drop-Off Points:

The voting process will be through a transparent media where the public will be able to vote for there favorite artists via mobile SMS and internet and therefore winners will be awarded on the main event.

Sex Scandals Hit The Ugandan Music Industry.

This Story was compiled by a UG Entertainment Website known as "BIGEYE.UG".

The girls you see in skimpy attires wiggling their bums in videos are bringing to light revelations that may see many artistes go to ruin. To make the matters worse, it is sexually related allegations. Many of them claim have been sexually molested by the music artistes plus the video producers.

On the other hand, music studio producers have also been pointed out as being responsible for exchanging their production skills for sex offers from girls. “I went to a certain top music studio in Makindye to work on a song, I was low on money, the producer on the other side suggested sex, says Fatima. “He said that if I satisfied him sexually, he would make me big and told me that all popular female musicians have done this to become big.” Fatima goes ahead to narrate that he gave in only for two other guys to take turn at having sex with her behind the studio premises.

But, dramatist and song writer Mukulu in an interview opinionated that the girls are to blame on a larger extent. “You cannot expect to dress in such revealing costumes, get drank with alcohol then expect to be treated with dignity.” But on the other-hand many music artistes and their crews are always high on drugs during the shootings of these videos. Some of these videos are shot after mid-night. With the already escalating numbers of bikini parties, it is no surprise that girls are crying foul over the behind the scenes activities.

But even the most innocent of artistes have been pointed out in the sexual scandals. One of these belongs to Big Tyme whom a one Vanessa accuses of having sex with her then dumping her without notice. “I featured in one of his music videos, he then asked me to meet him before he finally let the snake out of the trouser and I accepted since I was already drunk,” narrates Vanessa. Then another musician was hit with the same scandal this year, perhaps we rather not shift to him, we all know the story.

For other artistes, the sexual scandals seem to come up in the aftermath of countryside and abroad performances. Though Bigeyeug cannot confirm these girls allegations, the girls have made lists that include top local artists just. To prove me wrong, one of the girls who stays in Naalya shows me her phone sms in-box with a 2010 message from a prominent musician that read “Can you pass by my place tonight and we get it on like crazy?” The girl who preferred anonymity says “Like all music artistes, these artistes don't value you anymore after having sex with you, however if you deny it from them, they will chase you till you surrender to their pleas.”

The sexual scandals are just a sneak peak into the bigger picture, in the PART 2 of the story, we shall seek the music artiste and producers' views plus other evidence which the girls say implicates these music artistes. Apparently some of the evidence is pictorial and some is harboured by certain music artistes who claim to be clean to the core.
