
Local Artiste Managers have put aside their differences and united to form an association. According to sources, they met on Tuesday evening at the Lumumba avenue based Steak Out where they discussed the interests of the entire Ugandan Music industry.
Snoops have also learnt that the gathering consisted of over twenty five managers including Ali Alibahi of talent Africa, Moses Kavuma of Eagles production, Emma Seruga, Lawrence Labejja of Bobi Wine, Sam Mukasa of Jose Chameleone and Emma Carlos Mulondo the brian behind the project among others.
Emma Calros manages Coco Finger and Jemima Sanyu. ‘They discussed how best to protect the interests of the industry, objectives,” a source said. The association has been given the name Ugandan Talent Managers Association UTAMA.
The executive committee will be elected next week at National theatre. The formation of the association come just months after KCCA’s Jennifer Musisi’s decree governing artisits’ performance and URA’s tax levies on artistres were enacted.
