From friends to enemies, to friends and to enemies again. The chain continues. Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone have lived controversial lives filled with fighting and reconciling all the time. This week, these two are back in the news for fighting again.
Both the Minzani and Mukisa Gwo singers were involved in a physical confrontation this week. Sources that were at the scene when this scuffle unfolded revealed to us that Jose Chameleone and his group met Bebe Cool at Rouge and the two camps fought.
According to Chameleone’s manager and spokesman, this battle was started by Bebe Cool who wanted to force Chameleone to boycott Bobi Wine's August 27th wedding.
“We did not beat up Bebe Cool. The truth is that there was a big misunderstanding between Leone Island and Bebe Cool. Bebe Cool wanted to force Chameleone and the whole Leone Island crew to boycott Bobi Wine's wedding because he is not a friend to Bobi Wine. He wants us to help him fight his wars with Bobi Wine”, adding; “But no, Chameleone and Leone Island are not willing to help Bebe Cool fight Bobi Wine. We are old enough to make choices in life. Bebe Cool cannot dictate over our lives and more so what we are supposed to do. If he has a problem with Bobi Wine, he should handle it alone. Why involve Chameleone and Leone Island”.
The Leone Island manager noted that the crew has no time to fight with Bebe Cool as they are concentrating on the forthcoming Mukisa Gwo album launch.
However Bebe Cool noted that it was Chameleone who attacked him at Club Rouge. To express his disappoint, Bebe Cool wrote this on his Facebook page;
“I cannot believe Jose Chameleone entered Rouge and started fighting me his maker. After all I have done for this chap now I accept a lost chap is a lost chap. I will never protect Chameleone again. I am not surprised he is fighting me because he needs the front page more than anybody. My advice to you Chameleone; sing music because I have got a lot in stock. Watch your skin”.
Bebe Cool added; “Chameleone, I know you are trying to divert the media and Uganda from the shame of trying to become a Moslem which didn’t work for you. Now you want people to talk about you fighting me. You living the meaning of you real name Chameleon. Ugandan Muslims and Catholics will never forgive you for using their religions for showbiz. May Allah bless your troubled soul”.
In response to Bebe Cool's Facebook posts, Chalemeone also wrote on his Facebook account; " You are not even ashamed to declare me an enemy because I am going on Bobi Wine's wedding. Bebe Cool style up. We are not young as yesterday. Shame on your mouth and jealousy deeds".
