50 Cent, Diddy And Busta Rhymes Manager Chris Lighty Found Dead, Alleged Suicide.

Hip hop music executive Chris Lighty was found dead early this morning outside of his Bronx apartment and according to police reports, Lighty took his own life. Lighty founded Violator Entertainment which handled the careers of a number of hip hop’s top artists including 50 Cent, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot and many more.

Lighty was behind some of the most profitable moves in hip hop including 50 Cent’s Vitamin water deal with Glaceau as well as Busta Rhymes sponsorship with Mountain Dew and helped bring up artists like Fat Joe, Foxy Brown and The Jungle Brothers.

Lighty was apparently involved in an argument with his estranged wife prior to his death and in spite of his success, the music exec was facing serious financial difficulties including a $5 million debt owed to the IRS, according to the New York Daily News.

Sean Combs was one of many artists who have taken to Twitter to voice their grief over the loss of Lighty. “R.I.P. Christ Lighty. He Was A Dear Friend Of Mine And I Still Can’t Believe It,” wrote Diddy.
