POLICE Bans Mathias Walukaaga's Song - "BAKOOWU".

It seems the police is also tired with seeing a kadongo-Kamu song topping the music charts or perhaps they are tired of this talented man.

Following a spirited cat and mouse game between the police and Walukaaga, the police have released a statement that calls for the banning of the Bakoowu song. The police believe this song incites violence and that it was directed at his excellency, mzee Ssevo, atagenda, atakooga, atakoowa.

In one of the lines in the Bakoowu Song, Mathias Walukaaga mentioned, “Serruganda olangirira ddi nti naawe Okooye.......” The police based on this line which literally means “Your excellency, when are you retiring...” It is this line that has exuded much criticism from the police department who think Walukaaga had a hidden agenda in the song and perhaps he may be considering a political career.

To add salt to the injury, the Bakoowu video showed clips of besigye being bundled on a police truck and tear gas canisters roaming all over Kampala. Police is still debating on the matter whether to ban Walukaaga for three years from music. It is also believed that the album launch may be disrupted by police considering the many tired numbers of people that are expected.

A fatigued Mathias Walukaaga says he has not received an official statement from the police and that he is not scared of anything. He says he is tired of threats from the police since they are also human.

Other musicians who have been warned include Gerald Kiweewa who released the “Gundi Okuzze” song that the police thinks is talking about Museveni’s age.

Plus another Kadongo-Kamu artiste called Kazibwe Kapo who released “Sigwa Jaaja wwo” song which talks about nepotism among other things.
