While tensions have died down between rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim as of late, R&B veteran Mary J. Blige recently expressed her feelings on the two lady emcees needing to squash their problems.
Refusing to take sides, Mary J. Blige said their feud is likely getting fueled by the people they keep around them.
"Kim is my friend and I love and respect Nicki," Blige said in an interview. "I got to know the young lady and she's a sweetheart. ... It's the crews [fueling it.] It's the people behind the whole thing. Maybe one day it will happen. I'm hoping. We just all got to think positive. Everyone is just thinking so negative about it and everyone is in it, but if a bunch of people would say, 'Yo, stop this and let's help these girls do something together or to see the light.'" (WGCI)
Atlanta's T.I. recently said he does not take hip-hop feuds as serious matters.
Next "Lil Kim Nicki Minaj Beef" is sent through the search engine, followed by a quick briefing on last Spring's claw-stretched feud between the Queen Bee and hip-hop's reigning Queen. Tip is the least interested in lending this any bandwidth. "It's hard for me to take rap beef seriously," he says dismissively. "But I will say that Nicki's on fire now. She's a monster, literally."
