Eve Secures ‘Lip Lock’ Album Release Date.

Former Ruff Ryders member Eve gives her much anticipated ‘Lip Lock’ album an official release date.

It looks like after all the rumors and speculation, Eve will in fact drop her much delayed fourth studio album dubbed ‘Lip Lock‘ later this year.

After recently dropping the music video to her lead track ‘She Bad Bad,’ Eve has decided to give her project a May 14th release date. If it seems like forever since you last heard an album from Eve, that’s because it was. This will be Eve’s first project in 11 years.

“Lip Lock is the album I’ve always wanted to make and it represents me coming back into the game—lyrically locking it down. But I also like the title because it can be a play on words,” Eve stated.

Lip Lop will feature a solid guest roster with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, Pusha T, and we hope that DMX will once again join forces with Eve, as its been already confirmed Swizz Beatz will be producing at least one track on the project.

DMX Does Not Like Drake, Is Not Impressed By Rick Ross.

DMX says Jay-Z tried to get rid of him and adds that he doesn't like Drake. He also shares that he is not impressed by Rick Ross.

In a recent interview, DMX was candid about his feelings towards several emcees. The New York rapper shared that he feels Jay-Z tried to "eliminate the competition" during his time as Def Jam President. He also explained that he does not like Drake or "anything about Drake" and that he is not impressed by Rick Ross.

When speaking about Jay-Z, X said that he feels he wasn't treated fairly by Def Jam when Jigga was the head of the label.

"I see what's really good. You trying to eliminate the competition. At first you retire, then get me off the label and now you're back rapping again," he added as a guest on The Breakfast Club. "That was just some bullshit. You know what it is. That was getting rid of the competition."

Later, he was open about his feelings towards Rick Ross. X shared that he is not impressed and added that he feels Ross' subject matter is not diverse.

"I'm just not impressed," he said when a radio personality inquired about Rick Ross' lyrical skills. "He's aight, man. He talks about eating and girlfriends too much. How much can a nigga eat? How much weed can you smoke? Let's talk about something else...I see a whole 'nother side of the coin, son."

He was then asked if he liked Drake, to which he replied with a simple, "No." He then went further by saying he doesn't like anything about the Young Money emcee.

"No," he confirmed. "I don't like anything about Drake. I don't like his fucking voice. I don't like what he talks about. I don't like his face. I don't like the way he walks. Nothing."

An emcee he was complimentary towards was J. Cole, saying "J. Cole is nice." X also confirmed that he's on a new reality show with his ex-wife. He then added that he still drinks and smokes but says that he's not doing "hard" drugs. DMX also shared that he does not know how to use a computer and that he's not a fan of Twitter.

Eve Reveals Her Past Crush On The Fresh Prince, "I Think He Was Cute & Nerdy"

By Andrea The Don

Philadelphia rapper Eve recently opened up about romance life and revealed a past crush on former "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" star Will Smith.

Along with discussing Smith, Eve also updated fans on her current love arrangement.

"Probably [I liked] Will Smith [the most], especially 'cause I'm from Philly," Eve told OK! magazine this week at the Gotham Open A.I.R. Summer Concert series in New York City. "When I was younger, I think he was like cute and nerdy." As an adult, her ardent passion for Will has dissipated. She is more interested in establishing a healthy relationship with her current beau. Although he's based in London and their affair is transatlantic, Eve and her partner are eager to make it work. "It's hard, right? With the long distance thing? It's out of control. But we're at that point now where we have to figure it out. And we do," Eve said. "We meet up. He actually is from London, so sometimes I go there and then we meet up in different countries or cities and it kind of makes it fun, but after a while you get sick of it. You just wanna come home to your man or whatever. So we're figuring it out." (Music Rooms)

In June, Eve talked about being head over heels in love.

"I want marriage, I want babies, soon, but later. I'm seeing someone at the moment. I'm not saying [who it is], but it's been a year. It's not a secret. He's not a music celebrity." (BANG Showbiz)

She reportedly has been linked to race car driver Maximillion Cooper and previously confirmed their relationship.

Last year when it was rumored that she was dating Shane Powers, she took to her twitter to clear up the rumor while confirming that she was in love with Maximillion. "I am not engaged 2 anyone but am completely in love with someone @MRGUMBALL3000" (Necole Bitchie)

Outside of love, Eve is currently putting her finishing touches to an upcoming album called Lip Lock.

"I did another record called 'Mama's in the Kitchen' with Swizz [Beatz] that is ridiculous," Eve explained in an interview. "In the next couple of weeks, I'ma let this burn for a minute and then I'm going to drop that record...I'm working with Salaam Remi, who if you know music, Salaam is major, major, major -- I went in with MSTRKRFT, I don't know if people know who MSTRKRFT are, I went in with them. I'm busy. I got like five more records to do and then I'm done with the record." (BBC Radio 1Xtra)

DMX Pushes The Pedal To The Medal, Arrested In Arizona .

By Andrea The Don

Former Def Jam rap star DMX was reportedly arrested last night (August 24) in Arizona for violating the speed limit and driving with a suspended license.

Details on X's arrest emerged online Thursday afternoon.

DMX just proved, "Groundhog Day" is more than a movie -- it's a lifestyle for scofflaws. Law enforcement tells TMZ ... the rapper was arrested again, after being pulled over last night in Arizona for driving 102 mph in a 65 zone. And for good measure, Mr. X was driving on a suspended license ... so cops arrested him. He was booked for speeding, reckless driving, and the suspended license -- and has since been released on bond. FYI -- DMX has now been busted 10 times in Maricopa County, AZ. Back in 2008, Sheriff Joe Arpaio famously made the rapper -- along with his fellow Tent City Jail inmates -- sport a pink jumpsuit. (TMZ)

In early August, X revealed his battle with a bi-polar disorder.

The 40-year-old rapper has admitted to suffering from bipolar disorder. He claims he doesn't really know how to separate Earl Simmons from "X." "X, X is the bad guy," DMX argues. "I used to be really clear about who was what and what each characteristics each personality had, but at this point I'm not even sure there is a difference." "I'm Earl when I'm with my children," DMX replied with sad emotion. "I miss my children, I miss my children, I miss my children." Instead of drugs, DMX said music is his fix now. Each day a new beginning. (ABC 15 News)

A few weeks ago, X promised to make a strong return to the music industry.

"I kind of took it back to how I felt on my first album -- the hunger, the energy, the hardness of it," says the 40-year-old rapper (real name: Earl Simmons), who was released from prison on July 19. "I've had a lot of late nights in the studio, getting it in, getting it back to where it's supposed to be," says DMX, whose last album, 2006's "Year of the Dog... Again," has sold 344,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The rapper also notes that the lyrical focus of the album will be "bringing hip-hop back to where it's supposed to be. It's not at a good place right now... [There's] a lot of whack rappers out there. It's too corny." (Billboard)

Having recently spent four years behind bars before making a music comeback, rapper Black Rob talked to SOHH last month about X's return.

"First of all, I just want to tell him I love him, man," Rob told SOHH. "He was one of the reasons why I wanted to go so hard all the time in my music. When I met him, it was like, 'Oh sh*t.' When we were in the cipher, we were going in. You hear me? Like, going in because nobody was backing down. N*ggas was going. Rhyme after rhyme, line after line. When I met him, it was like this is my dude. X used to come pick me up from my crib on 118th. He used to hit me up like, 'Come on downstairs, dog, we getting outta here.' Me and him used to drive around with the dogs in the back of the motherf*cking truck, driving around getting high and doing what we do and the things we loved to do, man. Big shout outs go out to him. I love him to death and I just want him to come on back and maybe he feels like this ain't his calling no more. He's real spiritual. You feel me? Maybe he feels like this ain't his calling no more." (SOHH)
